Oh How I Wish I Were a Cat
My cat is lying under the window with the most sublime look on his face. You know what I would love about being a cat? Sleep whenever you want, get fed and pet and if it’s not often enough, you get annoying, and you can comfortably sleep in the sun. At the moment, if I have the sun shining on my face, I usually want to hit someone. Napping in the sun is at best a futile effort, and I have a nasty tendency to get cranky. I also love how as a cat, the politics are straightforward and easy to play: if you’re the biggest and the fastest, you win and other cats leave you alone. Yeah, I think I’d like to be a cat.
