As an English Major I enjoyed reading Ironies and Satires in literature, but now I see them more and more in everyday life. I believe God watches us and laughs and laughs. Life is the greatest sitcom ever.

My Bedroom Looks Like a Storage Facility

Published by sesasha at 11:42 am under Bizarre, Humor Edit This

I woke up this morning with a sudden urge to clean everything in sight. This is actually quite the trick, because I’m feeling pretty sick and cleaning everything in sight will almost certainly make me sicker. In spite of my sinus machinations, I’m making the effort to make this part of the apartment livable. We’ve lived here for about 2 months and we had to rent a storage unit to make up the difference in the nonsense of all of our crap. After we had lived here a few days, we discovered that we had eaves, and we’ve been slowly but surely bringing all of the stuff from the storage unit up here to put in the eaves. The stuff that I don’t want in the eaves needs to be organized, and a good chunk of it will be thrown away, and the boxes that this applies to have moved into my bedroom in an effort to make the living room look nicer for Christmas. So I had the boxes in small piles everywhere around this room, to the point that my shins had become navigation devices for finding hard surfaces in the dark. Today, I made one huge pile of all of the boxes on one side of the room so there is now a path that doesn’t take night-vision goggles to find in the middle. Amazing how happy that one thing made me, so even though the room has much more room to maneuver, that one wall now looks like the storage unit has relocated.

I know how you feel… well, almost… I get so sick of my office once an a while and then I will stop every thing and clean for hours on end… sometimes it take two days and then when i’m done I feel like I can get some real work done.
